Armin is a childhood friend of Eren Jaeger and Mikasa Ackerman. He is also a soldier in Scout Regiment. Although he appears to be physically weak, his intelligence and strategic genius mind has saved many, many times from big casualties.

When he was young, he was very curious and had a deep fascination with the world beyond the Walls. Armin would often rely on Eren and Mikasa to be protected from local bullies. Armin constantly worries for the safety of his friends and is exceptionally loyal, brave and selfless. Armin is always prepared to put himself in danger in order to save his friends.

 

But after the battle of Shiganshina District, Armin almost loses his life but then, gets to inherit the power of Colossal Titan from Bertholt Hoover.

4. Erwin Smith

 "If we're going to outwit our enemy, we'll need to think outside the box"

Erwin Smith, the 13th commander of the Scout regiment (Scout Regiment is the driving force of Military soldiers and are actively involved in direct Titan combat.) Erwin had a commanding presence and stood tall above most members of the Scout regiment. He is always calm, has got blond hair and his icy blue eyes are very striking. 

Erwin is quite complex, serious and calculating, seeing and planning for the future. He was the first to realize that there was spy within Scout Regiment and slowly filter them out and capture them. His ultimate goal was for humanity to rise up and become dominant species over the Titans, a goal he is willing to sacrifice anything for.

Erwin is intelligent, discerning and widely respected as commander. He do care for his men, but does not hesitate to sacrifice them for greater good and prosperity of mankind. His men have proven more than willing to stake their lives at his order. Levi follows only his orders. 

3. Mikasa Ackerman

"This world is CRUEL and also very BEAUTIFUL" - Mikasa 

Mikasa's father and mother were murdered by bandits. She was adopted by Grisha and Carla Jaeger and is adoptive sister of Eren. She was rescued by Eren and lived with his family for approximately one year before Wall Maria fell.

Mikasa is remarkably strong and has cool personality. She barely loses her cool no matter what the situation is. To protect Eren and Armin she is not afraid to go against anyone. She almost fought back against Military Police and Survey Corps to protect Eren. She even doesn't hold back against Captain Levi if it means to protect Eren and their best friend Armin.

Though she wanted to live a peaceful life with Eren, Mikasa chose to follow him into the military. She later joined Scout Regiment and continue to follow & protect Eren at any cost. 

2. Levi

"The only thing we're allowed to do is to Believe that we won't regret the choice we made" - Levi 

Levi has short, straight  black hair styled in an undercut curtain with dull gray eyes having a youthful face. He is bit short but his physique is well-developed enough to kill bunch of non-intelligent Titans alone and face some Intelligent Titans and give them really tough time.

Levi's obedience is strictly limited to individuals he respects only. Although he rarely shows friendliness, he has strong sense of morality and empathy. One of his greatest characteristics is that he shows great value over preserving human life. Levi hates unnecessary casualties and tells his subordinate to use their judgment so that they can avoid blunders that may even cost their life.

Although looks mean and very strict, he cares greatly for his subordinates' welfare.

Despite his obedience to Captain Erwin, Levi operates independently and his battle skills is in a  different level and has killed most number of Titans. Though Levi shows loyalty and empathy for comrades, he shows no mercy towards Titans and slaughters them fearlessly.  

1. Eren Jaeger

"We've all been special since the day we were born... We're free!" - Eren

Eren is the only son of Grisha and Carla Jaeger. He is a member of Scout Regiment and the main character of Attack on Titan. The current holder of 'Attack' Titan and the Founding Titan also.

Eren is best known as hard-headed, strong-willed, impulsive and passionate, which are his strong determination to protect mankind. When he was child, he truly cared for Armin, his best friend and also met his adoptive sister, Mikasa.

He possesses perseverance, fortitude, selflessness and a vigorous determination. He even managed to graduate fifth in his class despite his lack of natural talents.
